Activity 1: Watch this trailer of the Incredibles :

Oral Interaction:
  • What is a Superhero ?

  • What is characteristic of Superheroes ?

Although each superhero possesses unique characteristics, they share several traits.
Most superheroes are vigilantes who protect the world from malevolent beings
To do this, they possess extraordinary talents or powers. While some have superhuman abilities, others rely on special equipment to achieve extraordinary feats.

Several common characteristics stand out:

Exceptional qualities: superheroes possess superpowers such as flight, superhuman strength, super speed, pain resistance, and so on.
In the absence of superhuman powers, some superheroes distinguish themselves through equipment that grants them power-like capabilities.

Activity 2: Watch this interview of Bob in The Incredibles:

Recap
All the superheroes have a double identity
All superheroes have a dual identity. Hardly anyone knows who lies behind the superhero persona, as removing the mask allows them to blend back in with ordinary mortals.
Superheroes often wear instantly recognizable costumes.
The costume serves as a true mark of identity; every superhero must find a unique outfit that sets them apart from the rest. Many also wear masks to avoid recognition. Much like Batman, these masks often conceal the upper face while leaving the mouth exposed. A hood or balaclava is sometimes added to the ensemble.

To ensure the superhero is easily identified, their initial is often displayed on the costume.
Superman’s "S," for instance, has become iconic; anyone can recognize him simply by seeing that stylized letter. And the Incredibles have a big 'i" letter on their costumes.
However, the costume is about more than just identity. It offers protection and allows the superhero to amplify their powers through various accessories—much like James Bond.
